Named for Luigi Grollo, the Lui Bar is our cocktail space, dedicated to innovative flavours and classic cocktails it is a liquid expression of the Vue de Monde philosophy. At 236 meters, views south to the bay, table service, fantastic bar snacks- the Lui Bar is the ideal place for a relaxed cocktail or a quiet assignation.
If you tire of the glorious views over Melbourne and the bay, then you can cast your eyes over Mikala Dwyer's 'chandelier' of transparent clouds, a special commission from her series 'Empty Sculptures'. Fabricated from industrial residual plastic, these forms play with the definition of sculpture and make the bar seem to be suspended inside a cocktail. Our cocktails are divided into 'yesterday', 'today' and 'tomorrow' charting the evolution and innovation of Melbourne's drinking culture. Reinvented snacks such as the ham and cheese toastie and smoked ocean trout sit comfortably besides champagne friendly fare of caviar and oysters.
