Mackay
A picturesque city, situated on the pioneer river, Mackay is the main regional and service centre for the Whitsundays Island group. There are several nightclubs in the city heart as well as pubs and cafes. It is expanding quickly with new development on the marina in north Mackay. It is from here that Brampton Island is accessible by boat. Eungella and Finch Hatton Gorge are nearby national parks.
